Interview with Southeast Soccer Player Peter Scholtz

May 2017

1. You are a Southeast Soccer player with the U11 Boys Seahawks. How long have you been with the Seahawks and Southeast Soccer?

I am about to start my sixth season. So about 3 years.

2. What motivates you to play soccer and what are your goals as a player?

Well lots of my friends play soccer and my dad also plays soccer.  My first team sport that my dad signed me up for was soccer.  At first I did not want to play but then I started liking it and now I could not survive without soccer.

My goal is to improve as a player and make more passes.

3. How would your fellow teammates describe you?

Well this one is a hard one.  Maybe I should pass more maybe work on my conditioning and get better at defence.

4. What is you favorite SES memory or experience?

My favorite was probably playing in the Woodbury Classic this past fall.  We probably should not have made it into the finals with 2 and a half out of 3 wins.  But the favorite team lost to a bad team so we went to the finals to win it.

5. What should parents know about traveling soccer before they commit their children and families?

Well there are games that you may travel far away for but that is part of the experience and it's ok if you lose a far away game.  It's about hanging out with your friends and doing the thing you love.
